For life changing events and lack of being able to add more hikes and info to the blog, I’ll be taking it down. Please enjoy the posts while available.

To those true with aloha spirit, enjoy the islands and share the true beauty of Hawaii.

Aloha,

Mike

Cafe Panini

No Comments Local Grinds

One of the greatest sandwich places on Oahu! Located in the Airport Industrial Park this hidden gem is worth seeking out.

Cafe Panini does everything right when it comes to making a perfect looking and tasting sandwich. They take time to handcraft each sandwich like art and use the freshest local ingredients. Don’t be in a hurry tho, it takes about 15 minutes to prepare your meal. (Well worth it!) These chef’s take it to perfection!

Seating is limited and Cafe Panini can be hard to find. What really helped was for directions was their website : Cafe Panini Location. We ended up parking over by Big Kahuna’s Pizza and walking around the building to the left. You can’t miss the tower with the antenna on top. Cafe Panini is on ground level.

If you are in the airport area around lunchtime, this is worth a stop. Some recommendations are the Turkey Avocado and the Hot Pastrami Panini. Be sure to get there early (10:45am), it’s a popular yet secret spot.

We have not tried their Breakfast yet, but hear it’s just as good! Cafe Panini is open from 7:30am – 10:00am and then lunch is 11:00am – 2:00pm M-T

Enjoy!

Mexican in Hawaii

5 Comments Local Grinds

Do you like mexican food? Are you tired of being disappointed when you eat mexican food in Hawaii?

Then look no further than Mexican Restaurant in Honolulu! Located on School street in Kalihi, this little Mexican joint is the perfect place to fill your tummy with yummy.

Service was great when we went, the food was good quality and huge quantity! Just take a look at the size of my burrito! Its a great environment and the building is very clean for the area it’s in. Parking was a little rough, but get there early to avoid having to park on the street.

Melt Honolulu

No Comments General, Hawaii, Local Grinds

The melt truck is one of the newest lunch wagons around Honolulu. They serve some awesome grilled cheese with some fancy cheeses and bread.

We hit up the Melt Truck before thanksgiving to try their turkey/cranberry/brie. All I have to say was YUMMY!

Be sure to check them out at : http://www.melthonolulu.com and follow them on twitter : meltHNL

The only way to find out where they are parked for the day is twitter or on their website.

Enjoy!
